Is SEO the most important part of Web Site Design?
Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)
What is SEO?
Search engine optimisation, or SEO, is a marketing process by which a website uses various techniques and methods to improve its visibility within a search engine’s results.
However, the difference is that SEO only affects the unpaid or “organic” results, and seeks to improve a website’s ranking relative to the order of results displayed on the page.
How does it work?
When you choose a website from infuse, included in our startup, Plus and Premium packages.. is our initial SEO setup. This initial setup tells the search engines such as Bing and Google that you’re there and ready for customers to find you! We include keywords in the site which are specific to your business and what likely customers will be typing into google to look for your service.
Search engines use automated programs called web crawlers (also called “spiders”) to find pages and follow links, storing the information on the pages they visit in massive databases. This process of archiving information on web pages is called indexing, because pages are organized into an index based on keywords relevant to each page’s content. Indexing web pages allows search engines to quickly provide the most updated links to relevant pages for users who type in a search query into the search engine. To determine which results to show for a particular search query, search engines use proprietary algorithms to first find all pages that are organized by keywords relevant to the search query and then rank them based on relevance and popularity.
How can I get higher in the google rankings?
This is a very common question and unfortunately would require a very complex answer. In a nutshell though, if you want to compete on the first page for a keyword search most relevant to your business.. ie web site design Liverpool, you should invest in a more detailed and strategic plan of SEO. This starts with a comprehensive data analysis of your website over a 3 month period after initial launch, data is gathered not only on your website traffic and keywords but also your competitors.
Once the data analysis is complete, we can then recommend an SEO strategy and make necessary changes to the website using various techniques available to help you climb the rankings.
Is SEO expensive?
Unfortunately people have had many experiences with being charged extortionate amounts of money and being locked into contacts for 12 months, all with the promises of getting top on google. It is a shame that some marketing companies (not necessarily web design agencies) have taken advantage of the SEO market to take advantage of businesses, claiming to do SEO when in actual fact they don’t produce the reports to back it up.
We have a specialist in SEO who will be dedicated to your website data analysis and SEO who will produce actual data reports so you know the work is being done.
NO CONTRACTS! As with our website pricing we try to be as open and honest about our costs. Our data analysis over a 3 month period is essential in being able to fully use SEO tools and strategies to enable your website to come above your competitors, our data analysis starts from £80 per month (usually over 3 months) and then SEO once the data is gathered starts from £100 per month, no expensive contacts and reports will be generated every month to demonstrate improvements made which will help you to decide whether when you’re happy with your ranking.
Think of SEO as advertising, the cost of print advertising for your business will usually far outway the costs of good SEO but the advantage of SEO is once we’ve reached what we believe is saturation then the costs will reduce significantly to just ensure we maintain that level.
